Holistic Care of Chronic Patients - A Case Study of a Person Affected By Crohn's Disease

Abstract

The occurrence of a chronic disease disrupts the dynamic of family relationships. A chronic disease of a family member causes changes in roles and habits of a diseased person – family members. The quality of life of a person with chronic disease is affected by contextual factors, which can improve or worsen the patient‟s participation in daily routines within the family or in larger environment.
